Position
Senior translator/reviewer
Role Description
- Perform translation, proof reading and quality control tasks, taking ownership of the overall quality output of the translation team
- Produce regular quality reports for communication to key customers and in-house/freelance translators as appropriate
- Manage and maintain glossaries, style guides, reference material, query repository
- Query management
- Test and approve new translators as required
- Train, coach and mentor new staff as required.
Candidate Profile
- Exceptional English with clear, accurate and meticulous writing style as well as an ability to be creative
- Proven track record in translating marketing content to publication standard
- Highly organised with good coordination skills
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
- Results-driven work ethic with high energy and enthusiasm levels
- Proactive, highly motivated and ambitious
Work experience
- At least 2 year's experience in senior translation role, ideally in-house
Skill set required
- Native English speaker with excellent German and French
- Knowledge of latest computer-aided translation and workflow management tools
Qualifications
- Four-year degree in languages/translation
- MA in translation, postgraduate translation diploma and/or additional subject matter qualification an advantage
